The mission of Grassroot Girls is to empower young girls to advocate for healthier lives, stronger communities, and a sustainable planet. We achieve this mission by offering opportunities for girls to share their personal experiences with policy makers and to connect girls with other nonprofit organizations that advocate for progress.

Grassroot Girls is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization formed in 2019.  It was born out of a passion for advocacy and a recognition that personal stories and connections hold power.  We believe introducing girls to advocacy and the policy making process at a young age leads to empowered citizens and future community leaders.

Grassroot Girls is led by a five-member Board of Directors.  The Board has extensive experience in health and wellness advocacy, elementary and secondary education, nonprofit management, family counseling, natural resources management and law, fundraising, legal and legislative affairs, and finance.
